Happy’s Essential Skills: Using Web Resources
Where to SearchThere are scripts on the www.staggernation.com site that allow you to search by host and for related or linking pages. For ideas and other search resources to explore, go to the SearchEngineWatch.com website and read the article, Hidden Google Tools by Mary Ellen Bates.
Some organizations’ sites will allow you to use their internal search engines to get past their firewalls. Many of these sites do not show up on Google or Yahoo searches. Table 1 lists the URLs of organizations within these categories, many of which have some connection to electronic manufacturing:
- Electronics industry magazines and publications
- Professional organizations and societies, with associated conferences
- Corporation websites
- Libraries
- Library services
- Publishers
- Government sources
- Patents
- Individuals’ websites
