Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. reported continued earnings growth in the third quarter of 2026, alongside new power module packaging business for data center infrastructure and momentum in automotive camera programs. Core EBITDA for the third quarter reached US$19.5 million, up 9.8% from US$17.8 million in the comparable period of 2025. For the first nine months, core EBITDA increased 12.0% to US$56.5 million from US$50.4 million a year earlier.
Nine-month core revenue rose 3.6% to US$703.2 million from US$678.7 million. Gross profit reached US$73.5 million, with gross margin improving to 10.4% from 9.0% in the prior-year period. Core net income grew 52% to US$24.1 million from US$15.8 million in the third quarter of 2026. The combination of revenue growth, improving utilization, sourcing discipline and higher-value programs continues to strengthen IMI’s earnings profile.
Power modules: new opportunities in data center infrastructure. IMI secured new business wins in advanced power semiconductor module packaging serving the build-out of data center power infrastructure. Its packaging and process capabilities support increasingly demanding requirements for power density, thermal performance and long-term reliability. These awards build on IMI’s investments in advanced assembly, packaging and testing, extending the company’s participation in a market benefiting from rising demand for computing and power-conversion capacity.
Automotive cameras: differentiation through advanced manufacturing technology. IMI’s camera module business continues to gain momentum as vehicle manufacturers adopt more sophisticated driver monitoring systems and other camera-based safety functions. Expertise in chip-on-board (COB) assembly and aluminum wedge-bonding technology strengthens IMI’s ability to deliver compact, high-reliability, low cost camera modules at scale. These specialized capabilities, combined with established automotive-quality execution, position the company for outstanding growth as electronic safety content expands across vehicle platforms.
Louie Hughes, President and Chief Executive Officer of IMI, said: “The progress we are delivering is the result of two years of decisive action to make IMI a stronger, more focused and more competitive company. Strong EBITDA growth in both the third quarter and the first nine months demonstrates that our operational improvements are translating into sustainable earnings performance.
“We are now building on that foundation. New wins in data center power modules and our expanding automotive camera business show how IMI’s engineering depth and specialized manufacturing technologies create opportunities in attractive, high-reliability markets. We have strengthened the business, and we are turning that foundation into profitable growth.”
IMI maintained its focus on balance-sheet discipline. Total debt stood at US$188.3 million as of September 30, 2026, down from US$196.0 million at year-end 2025, while its debt-to-equity ratio improved to 0.69x. Despite uneven demand in some industrial end markets, IMI remains focused on executing customer launches, scaling new programs and leveraging its global manufacturing footprint to support profitable expansion.
