One year after their first visit, the ECIO team returned to FSQuality Co., Ltd.’s (a subsidiary of Sihui Fuji Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.) Thailand factory to see what had changed over an eventful 12 months. This time, the team was joined by Marcy LaRont, executive director of I-Connect007, following the Thailand Electronics Circuit Asia event in Bangkok.
Having met with FSQuality Chairman Liu Tianming at the show the week before, we were eager to see firsthand how the company has evolved its customer strategy, expanded manufacturing to support AI and optical module applications, and added another new building to further increase its high-end manufacturing capabilities and strengthen Thailand’s growing PCB value chain.
When we visited a year ago, the facility had just become operational. Notably, this visit marked Mr. Liu’s declaration that, after nearly two years of investment, construction, and process optimization, the factory has become profitable. The current expansion will add the inner-layer processing and fine-line capabilities needed to produce high-end multilayer PCBs and optical-module products.

‘Who Are Our Customers?’
Yet, the most significant change at FSQuality is not the addition of another factory building or a few more pieces of equipment. Rather, it is the company’s answer to a fundamental question: “Who, exactly, are our customers?” That answer is now reshaping the Thailand factory’s product strategy and equipment planning, while also prompting the company to rethink the role and value of overseas manufacturing.
In 2023, FSQuality moved quickly to launch its Thailand project after securing a site. Liu recalled that, with time of the essence, the company opted for a single-story factory design and completed construction in about six months, followed by another three to four months for interior fit-out and equipment installation.
