Hikrobot Integrates Wiferion Technology into AMRs

In the automotive industry, every second counts. AMRs have to work without interruption - charging breaks mean less productivity. Hikrobot, one of the world's leading providers of mobile robotics, therefore relies on Wiferion's wireless charging technology, which has already established itself as the standard in the industry.
Hikrobot is one of the leading providers of mobile robotics and industrial image processing. With over 1,450 AMR types, the company covers a wide range of applications in automotive production, logistics, electronics manufacturing and photovoltaics. Continuous processes are particularly crucial in the automotive industry - efficiency losses due to charging pauses are not an option. To solve this problem, Hikrobot relies on wireless charging technology from Wiferion.
Inductive charging: Efficiency as a standard in automotive production
"Our customers in the automotive industry expect maximum availability from AMRs. Inductive charging is the best solution for this," says Zongqi Wang, EU Solution Manager at Hikrobot. "It eliminates charging pauses, increases operational safety and makes the entire process more efficient." Contactless charging during short stops eliminates the need for separate charging zones. Mechanical contacts that wear out or require maintenance are a thing of the past. The system also offers a CAN interface for real-time monitoring of the battery, which enables more precise control of the energy supply.
Maximum productivity through seamless integration
Hikrobot is already using inductive charging technology in the heavy-duty AMR H7, which transports large components in automotive production. The charging solution fits directly into the production flow, allowing robots to pick up energy during their normal work. "Inductive charging not only increases the efficiency of each individual vehicle, but also optimizes the entire fleet. Our customers benefit from higher productivity as there are no separate charging breaks," adds Wang.
The advantages are obvious: with inductive charging, mobile robots work without interruption. There are no open contacts, which increases safety and reduces maintenance costs. As fixed charging zones are no longer necessary, companies gain valuable space for other processes. In addition, the standardized energy supply enables seamless integration into mixed AMR fleets.
Interoperability: software and hardware from a single source
Hikrobot already relies on software interoperability with VDA 5050. With standardized inductive charging technology, AMRs from different manufacturers can use the uniform interoperable charging infrastructure. This facilitates the operation of mixed AMR fleets and reduces investment costs for different charging infrastructures. "With inductive charging, we are creating a future-proof energy supply for our AMRs. Our customers benefit from greater efficiency, more flexibility and a technology that has established itself as an industry standard," says Wang.
