Kimball Electronics Mexico Volunteers Make a Difference at Julian Ernesto Zamora Elementary School
February 24, 2025 | Kimball ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, eighteen Kimball Electronics Mexico (KEMX) employees recently dedicated their time to support the Julian Ernesto Zamora Elementary School. The volunteers divided into two groups to maximize their impact.
One group tackled a hands-on project, laying 7 meters of gravel to improve the school's driveway. The task not only enhanced the school's infrastructure but also demonstrated the power of teamwork and collaboration.
Meanwhile, the second group of volunteers spent quality time with 30 enthusiastic students in the library. The Kimball team read engaging stories about various professions, sparking curiosity and inspiring the young minds. Through interactive discussions, the volunteers shared insights about Kimball Electronics, the types of professions available within the company, and the roles employees play at the facility. The students eagerly participated, sharing their own dreams and aspirations for future careers.
The visit concluded with a generous donation of books collected during the KEMX family's "Donate a Book" campaign. The new additions to the school's library will continue to inspire and educate students for years to come.
This initiative exemplifies Kimball Electronics' commitment to giving back to the community and fostering the next generation of leaders. The collaboration between the volunteers and the students not only enriched the lives of the young learners but also reinforced the importance of community involvement and education.
