Beyond the Rulebook
What happens when the rule book is no longer useful, or worse, was never written in the first place? In today’s fast-moving electronics landscape, we’re increasingly asked to design and build what has no precedent, no proven path, and no tidy checklist to follow. This is where “Design for Invention” begins.

Zhen Ding Becomes Taiwan’s Only PCB Company Listed in Both DJ BIC Indices
May 6, 2026 | Zhen DingEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
S&P Dow Jones Indices recently announced the annual rebalancing results of the Dow Jones Bestin-Class Indices (DJ BIC). Zhen Ding Technology Holding Limited has been selected for the first time as a constituent of both the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index (DJ BIC World) and the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Emerging Markets Index (DJ BIC Emerging Markets).
In this year’s global ITC Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components industry assessment, 63 companies were eligible for the World Index and 27 companies were eligible for the Emerging Markets Index, with only 8 and 4 companies ultimately selected, respectively. Zhen Ding is also the only PCB company in Taiwan included in both indices, underscoring the international recognition of the Company’s sustainability governance, transparent disclosure, and ESG management performance.
The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices, formerly known as the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), were renamed in 2025. The indices use the results of the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) as an assessment basis to identify companies with leading sustainability performance across industries.
Zhen Ding stated that its first-time inclusion in both the World and Emerging Markets indices reflects the Company’s long-standing efforts to integrate sustainability into its core operations and governance framework. In recent years, Zhen Ding has continued to achieve strong results in international sustainability assessments, including being selected for the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook for four consecutive years and receiving A ratings in both CDP Climate Change and Water Security.
In environmental management, Zhen Ding continues to promote energy transition, water resource recycling, and waste resource recovery. In 2025, Zhen Ding and its subsidiaries achieved annual carbon reduction benefits of more than 700,000 metric tons, representing an increase of over 30% compared with 2024, primarily driven by equipment energy-saving upgrades, self-built solar power generation, and green electricity procurement. In innovation management, Zhen Ding continued to invest in R&D and advanced manufacturing capabilities, with R&D expenses reaching NT$11.8 billion and cumulative granted patents totaling 230 in 2025. At the same time, the Company continues to strengthen talent development and diversity, equity, and inclusion management through systematic training, career development support, and diversified communication channels, enhancing employee engagement and organizational cohesion while fostering a respectful, inclusive, and resilient workplace culture.
Looking ahead, Zhen Ding will continue to deepen its management of key sustainability topics, including climate change, water resources, circular economy, sustainable supply chain, talent development, and corporate governance. Through institutionalized management and transparent disclosure, the Company aims to further strengthen its long-term competitiveness.
