Nexperia announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2026. Building on the progress achieved during the first half of 2026, Nexperia delivered another consecutive quarter of revenue growth in Q3, supported by recovering customer demand and production capacity. Revenue reached $389 million, up 9.3% compared with Q2 2026 ($356 million), with broad-based growth across all business groups.
Cash generation continued to strengthen, with net cash from operating activities reaching $55 million in Q3. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $446 million at the end of Q3, $27 million above Q2, providing Nexperia with further financial capacity to support strategic investments and capacity expansion. The continued improvement in cash generation further underscores the strength and resilience of Nexperia's business despite the operational and financial challenges associated with Nexperia China continuing to operate outside our governance framework.
Nexperia sees long-term demand supported by electrification, increasing semiconductor content, industrial automation and energy infrastructure, together with growing power-management requirements in AI data-center infrastructure.
Continued investment in innovation and resilient supply
The company will continue to invest significantly in R&D between 2026 and 2030, strengthening the essential technologies customers rely on today while advancing next-generation solutions including wide-bandgap technologies, modules and power-management ICs.
Nexperia continues to expand and diversify its manufacturing footprint, complemented by strategic foundry and manufacturing partnerships. The expansion of its back-end manufacturing sites in Malaysia and the Philippines is progressing, with approximately 55 billion pieces of annual capacity installed by October 2026. More than 600 equipment-installation activities have been completed, over 6,200 product types released and shipping, and approximately 7,000 square meters of additional production space was added in Malaysia.
Recent partnerships further support this approach. In September 2026, Nexperia and Tata Electronics announced a strategic partnership spanning wafer fabrication, semiconductor assembly and test, technology collaboration and innovation. Earlier in 2026, Nexperia announced a collaboration with US-based wafer foundry Polar Semiconductor.
Recovery continues through 2026
“Q3 gives us confidence that the progress we have made during 2026 is becoming more firmly established,” said Stefan Tilger, interim CEO of Nexperia. “Our results demonstrate the resilience of Nexperia and the dedication of our employees worldwide. Despite the significant impact on our revenue, profitability and operations caused by Nexperia China continuing to operate outside our governance framework, we have continued to strengthen our business, generate cash and invest for the future. Our focus is not simply on recovering from the disruption we faced since the end of 2025, but on building a stronger and more resilient Nexperia for the future. We are investing in the technologies and manufacturing capabilities our customers depend on, while creating greater flexibility in how we serve them as markets and supply chains continue to evolve.”
Looking ahead, Nexperia expects revenue growth to further strengthen, supported by continued demand recovery and capacity ramp-up. With these actions, Nexperia enters the final quarter of 2026 with continued momentum, focused on further increasing supply reliability, investing in innovation and supporting customers' long-term needs.
