I-Connect007 is excited to welcome Echo Yang, founder and president of Archer Circuits, as its newest columnist.
As a female owner of a large Asian PCB company, Echo brings her candid, energetic, and practical view of the global PCB business to her column, The Fearless Connector. She will address the differences between Chinese and North American manufacturing, her own struggles to start a business, and some details about DFM, engineering, Gerber files, and the risks of treating RF, rigid-flex, and other demanding products like ordinary FR-4 work. She approaches it all with her own youthful, entrepreneurial spirit.
Archer Circuits was founded in 2016, with the goal of becoming the “golden brand” of the PCB industry. Echo has a law degree and worked with other PCB fabricators before starting her own company.
“I had made up my mind that someday I would own my own business, so I wanted to learn as much as I could until I could strike out on my own,” she said of her business plans. “I was passionate and full of energy, and starting my own company was a dream come true.”
Echo’s column will appear regularly in the SMT007 Week newsletter.
