Kontron Electronics and beflex electronic completed their merger on August 31, 2026. The beflex brand will continue under the umbrella of Kontron Electronics. Contacts and processes remain unchanged, ensuring seamless continuity in collaboration.
The merger brings rapid prototyping into closer alignment with development, industrialization, and series production. As a result, customers benefit from earlier coordination of technical, commercial, and procurement-related matters, particularly when transitioning from prototypes to series production.
beflex electronic complements Kontron Electronics’ service portfolio in early-stage and near-series project phases, from the implementation of initial functional samples to near-series prototypes. This includes rapid prototyping, small-series production, Class 8 cleanroom manufacturing, layout services, and lifecycle management services to help ensure long-term component availability. A project manager serving as the central point of contact for rapid prototyping coordinates alignment and ensures clear responsibilities from the sampling phase and validation through to production.
Kontron Electronics has extensive experience in custom electronics development, embedded technologies, proprietary product platforms, and series production. The understanding of products, systems, and applications gained from this experience supports the early consideration of customer-specific, technical, and regulatory requirements. Relevant aspects of secure and long-term viable infrastructure can therefore be addressed as early as the initial project phases, including with regard the Cyber Resilience Act.
