TDK Corporation announced that it has been selected for the tenth consecutive year for the “FTSE4Good Index Series” and the “FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index,” and for the fifth consecutive year for the “FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index.” All three are exemplary ESG investment indices provided by FTSE Russell, a global index provider.
The FTSE Russell ESG Rating evaluates companies’ initiatives to address potential environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks based on the business characteristics of the companies assessed.TDK’s sustainability initiatives and related disclosures were comprehensively evaluated across all areas, and TDK maintained a score of 4.8 out of 5, following last year’s result.
These indices are widely used as benchmarks for sustainable investment by institutional investors, including Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF). Currently, TDK is included in the following five ESG investment indices for Japanese equities adopted by GPIF, including the two indices mentioned above:
