Qualcomm, Xiaomi Expand Collaboration with Multi-Year Agreement

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Xiaomi Corporation are celebrating 15 years of collaboration and have executed a multi-year agreement. The relationship between Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi has been pivotal in driving innovation across the technology industry and the companies are committed to delivering industry-leading products and solutions across various device categories globally.

Commitment to Continued Collaboration
Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi’s multi-year agreement centers around leading innovation with premium smartphones globally. Xiaomi’s premium smartphones will continue to be powered by the industry-leading Snapdragon 8-series for multiple generations of products, sold in China and global markets, with volume increasing each year of the agreement. Later this year, Xiaomi will be one of the first to adopt the next-generation premium Snapdragon 8-series.
Looking ahead, the companies intend to work together to drive advancements, including in on-device AI, across all edge devices, such as smartphones, automotive, AR/VR glasses, wearables, tablets, and more.
15 Years of Collaboration Between Qualcomm Technologies and Xiaomi
Over the past 15 years, Snapdragon platforms have powered millions of Xiaomi products, underscoring the success of the collaboration for both companies:
- Smartphones: Qualcomm Technologies has been a crucial partner for Xiaomi since the launch of the Xiaomi Mi 1 smartphone in 2011, helping Xiaomi become the third largest smartphone brand globally. For the past decade, Snapdragon platforms have powered Xiaomi's premium smartphones, delivering top-tier performance and user experiences. Most recently, Xiaomi launched the Mi 15 series achieving remarkable commercial success, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the world’s fastest mobile system-on-a-chip.
- Automotive: When Xiaomi launched its first vehicle in 2023, it chose Qualcomm Technologies’ next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform to power the SU7’s smart cabin, offering sophisticated and intuitive in-vehicle experiences with advanced graphics, multimedia, and AI. The SU7 also uses the Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF solution for high-performance processing, precise positioning, and low-latency connectivity, offering safety-rich and immersive connected experiences.
- Smart home products: Qualcomm Technologies’ industry-leading Wi-Fi solutions, including the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, enable Xiaomi to consistently deliver faster, more reliable connected experiences, leading the industry with each new generation of product launched.
- Wearables: The companies’ collaboration has also extended into wearables, with multiple commercially available earbuds and smart watches powered by Snapdragon platforms, including the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro series powered by Snapdragon S7 and S7+ Gen 1 Sound Platform, and the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro powered by Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 Wearable Platform.
