Please join IEC ((International Electronic Components) in congratulating Andy Watkinson for 25+ years of service and camaraderie. Andy started at IEC in October 1996 and became full-time in 2002. He currently serves in both Account Management & Technical Service, traveling to service and support customers throughout North America. When asked about his experience at IEC, he responded, “I like the people at IEC. They’re knowledgeable and intelligent, and we all work together to get things done.”
Andy was born in Germany and lived there until he was ten years old. As a kid, Andy dreamt of being an engineer on a steam train. He eventually became an engineer in England, graduating from Oxford Polytechnic with an HNC in electrical and electronic engineering. He moved to Toronto in 1987.
Andy's contributions to IEC have been instrumental in our success. Shawn Stone of IEC acknowledges, “Andy has been an invaluable member of our Team - not only have his knowledge and capabilities helped us increase our marketability to sell AND service equipment in North America, he has also been a long-standing Account Manager for many of our Canadian customers.
