During their recent summer conference, the European Institute of Printed Circuits (EIPC) presented Rex Rozario with its distinguished Honourary Fellowship of the Institute Creditation for his contributions to the world electronics interconnection industry. Then at the Devon County Show, Rozario received the Pride of Devon Award for his contributions to Devon businesses and local radio.
Life moves on for Rex Rozario OBE, ever since he restructured Graphic Plc (UK), Graphic Inc., USA and the Chinese joint venture DSG shared with Italian partner Somacis, who also had two plants in Italy and one in the USA. Graphic and Somacis combined all theirfacilities into four individual operations: Graphic Plc. in the UK, DSG in China, Somacis USA, and Somacis Spa Italy. They are all held within a 100% controlling company, Fine PCB SpA, headquartered in Milan, and incorporating Investment Financiers Quadrivio of Italy. Rozario is a director and prominent shareholder of Fine PCB SpA.
Away from the world of electronics, Rozario also owns a long-established popular Restaurant Rendezvous in Southernhay, Exeter, which was named Best Restaurant in Exeter in the last eight weeks. The award was presented by The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Manor Magazine, and Exeter Living. He is also a director and shareholder of the New Michael Caines hotel complex Lympstone Manor, and is the joint owner and chairman of Radio Exe, which is now independent of the National Giants and now on DAB and FM and just bidding for the Breeze License in Torbay, presently operated by Celador. In addition, Rozario was a founder director of Mayflower Marina, which received the National Best Marina for the last three consecutive years, and he is still involved in the Directors Remuneration Committee.
