HIROSE Electric Americas is pleased to announce that Mark Kojak, President of HIROSE Electric Americas, has been named to the Electronic Components Industry Association’s (ECIA) Manufacturer Council.
The ECIA Manufacturer Council is one of three councils that report directly to the ECIA Board of Directors. Made up of 13 to 15 members, the advisory group provides a dedicated forum for electronic component manufacturing leaders to discuss constituent needs, set industry agendas, and oversee priorities that strengthen the authorized supply chain. The Manufacturer Council focuses on the factory side, including production standards, technology roadmaps, and pricing/tariff pressures. The Manufacturing Council also works directly with the Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC) to build, review, and roll out standardized operational guidelines.
The ECIA Councils are structured to ensure a balanced representation across different component technologies, including semiconductor, interconnect, passive, and electro-mechanical sectors, and encompasses both small and large companies.
The ECIA’s mission is to promote and improve the business environment for the authorized sale of electronic components by manufacturers, their distributors and independent sales representatives. The ECIA provides resources, industry training, and market intelligence for members to increase business opportunities, while enhancing the industry’s overall capacity for growth and profitability. From driving critical conversations and process optimization to product authentication and industry advocacy, ECIA is your trusted source for support, insight and action.
“I am honored to join the ECIA Joint Manufacturer Council and look forward to contributing to the continued advancement of the electronic components industry. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading sales, marketing, operations, and business transformation initiatives across the semiconductor and interconnect markets, culminating in my current role as President of Hirose Electric Americas. These experiences have provided me with a broad perspective on manufacturers, distribution partners, manufacturer representatives, customers, and the evolving needs of our industry. I am excited to collaborate with fellow council members to help drive innovation, strengthen industry partnerships, and support ECIA's mission to advance the authorized electronics supply chain.”
“The ECIA Manufacturing Council is committed to maintaining balanced representation across the component industry, including passive, electromechanical, power, connector, and semiconductor manufacturers. With approximately 30 years of experience in senior executive leadership roles within the component industry, Mark Kojak, President of HIROSE Electric Americas, brings valuable expertise to the council. The ECIA Manufacturing Council is pleased to welcome Mark as its newest member,” said Tom Wichert Exec. VP Sales and Marketing for TDK-Lambda and Chair of the ECIA Manufacturing Council.
