KAGA ELECTRONICS CO., LTD. announced the establishment of KAGA EMS AMERICA, INC., a new overseas affiliate in the United States, to accelerate its global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) strategy and meet growing demand in the North American market.
Established on July 30, 2026, KAGA EMS AMERICA was jointly funded by Kaga Electronics' consolidated subsidiaries TAXAN MEXICO S.A. DE C.V. (TMX) and KAGA (H.K.) ELECTRONICS LIMITED (KGHK). The company is scheduled to begin operations on October 1, 2026.
TMX has served as Kaga Electronics' EMS manufacturing base in Mexico since 2017, primarily producing automotive-related products for the U.S. market. Following the acquisition of a new U.S. customer for circuit board mounting used in air-conditioning equipment, TMX made a major capital investment in 2024 and has grown into one of the Group's largest EMS production sites.
KGHK, meanwhile, has provided EMS services since 1992, focusing on circuit board mounting and finished product assembly for Japanese, American, and European companies in Southern China. It has also been expanding its customer base in the U.S. market and pursuing new business opportunities in collaboration with TMX.
Amid growing efforts to reduce reliance on China and reshore production to North America, Kaga Electronics plans to leverage TMX's manufacturing capabilities in Mexico and the tariff advantages available under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
KAGA EMS AMERICA will focus on business development, customer acquisition, and sales and marketing support for the North American EMS market. Its location in Schaumburg, Illinois, near a major concentration of automotive-related industries, will support the Group's efforts to expand its EMS business in the U.S.
