Limtronik, VIDEOTON Unite Expertise to Boost U.S. Electronics Manufacturing
March 31, 2026 | VideotonEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
Electronics manufacturer Limtronik, which joined the Hungary-based VIDEOTON Group in 2025, is intensifying operational collaboration within the Group’s international production network. The goal is to bundle expertise across locations and transfer proven quality and process standards to additional sites. A current focus is on Limtronik’s U.S. facility in Denver, where teams from Limburg and Hungary are jointly supporting the expansion of SMT production.
Since 2025, Limtronik has been part of the international VIDEOTON Group, which operates more than 11 sites across Europe and overseas. In addition to Limtronik’s electronics manufacturing (PCBA) and box-build assembly expertise, the group’s capabilities include mechanical machining, surface plating, sheet metal processing, plastic injection molding, as well as the design and manufacturing of special-purpose machines and production lines. These are complemented by extensive expertise in automation and testing systems.
“Our collaboration within the VIDEOTON Group has long proven itself in day-to-day operations,” says Gerd Ohl, Managing Director of Limtronik GmbH. “Through cross-site training and targeted knowledge transfer, we ensure that our quality and process standards are implemented consistently worldwide. Especially as we expand our activities in the U.S., we benefit from the combined expertise within the group.”
At its Denver site, Limtronik significantly expanded its SMT PCB manufacturing capabilities last year. Close collaboration with the VIDEOTON Group is now helping to optimize production processes, transfer know-how, and efficiently execute international projects. As a result, customers in North America benefit from the proven best practices in process reliability and manufacturing quality from the mother company in Limburg and that of the VIDEOTON Group’s other sites.
VIDEOTON Expands Limtronik’s Manufacturing Capabilities
The intensified collaboration creates additional strategic opportunities: VIDEOTON strengthens its market presence in Germany and the United States, Limtronik gains access to expanded industrial expertise and capacities within the group. For customers, this translates into a broader range of development and manufacturing services, as well as greater flexibility in international projects. Resources can be utilized efficiently across locations, enabling faster project execution.
International Production Network for Resilient Supply Chains
As part of the VIDEOTON Group, Limtronik is integrated into an international production network covering development, mechanical and electronic manufacturing, as well as the production of complete systems. The combination of Limtronik’s engineering and smart factory expertise with VIDEOTON’s broad industrial base creates additional scalability and strengthens resilient supply chains.
“In light of complex supply chains and geopolitical uncertainties, international production structures are becoming increasingly important,” says Dávid Schnaider, Business Development Director at VIDEOTON Group. “Collaboration within the group enables us to execute projects across stable, cross-site structures in Europe and overseas efficiently and with high quality.”
