More Than a Competition: Instilling a Champion's Skill in IPC Masters China 2025

Nearly 500 elite professionals from the electronics industry, representing 18 provinces and municipalities across China, competed in the 2025 IPC Masters Competition China, March 26–28, in Pudong, Shanghai.
A total of 114 contestants advanced to the practical competition after passing the IPC Standards Knowledge Competition. Sixty people competed in the Hand Soldering and Rework Competition (HSRC), 30 in the Cable and Wire Harness Assembly Competition (CWAC), and 24 in the Ball Grid Array/Bottom Termination Components (BGA/BTC) Rework Competition.
From Regional Contest to Global Stage: 15 Years of Growth
Since the Global Electronics Association—East Asia (formerly known as IPC Asia) held its first regional competition in 2010, IPC Masters has grown steadily over the past 15 years. What began with fewer than 10 participating companies has now expanded to include manufacturers from across China, covering key sectors such as aerospace, aviation, rail transit, automotive electronics, telecommunications, and consumer electronics, with thousands of participants to date.
Starting from a single hand-soldering event, the competition has evolved into a comprehensive platform combining theory and practice, encompassing multiple assembly processes. Today, it serves as a vital driver for promoting IPC standards, fostering industrial collaboration, and enhancing enterprise efficiency. It has become an important platform for nurturing highly skilled talent and enhancing product quality and competitiveness across the electronics manufacturing industry.
