Libra Industries Boosts SMT and Electronics Manufacturing Capabilities in Dallas, Texas

Libra Industries is excited to announce the latest upgrades to its surface mount technology (SMT) capabilities at its Dallas, Texas facility. These enhancements are designed to meet the rigorous demands of industries such as aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing, reinforcing Libra’s dedication to high-quality, high-volume electronics production.
New equipment at the Dallas facility includes:
- JUKI G-Titan Screen Printer: Delivers precise solder paste application and stencil aperture inspection, ensuring superior soldering results.
- Omron VP9000 3D SPI Equipment: Provides detailed, highly accurate solder paste volume analysis, reducing defects and improving reliability.
- JUKI LX-8 Placement Machines (x3): Capable of placing components with exceptional speed (up to 105,000 CPH) and precision, ideal for quick production runs.
- Heller 1826 MK5 Reflow Oven: Nitrogen-capable, ensuring consistent thermal profiles for soldering.
- Omron VT-S730 3D AOI: Uses advanced 3D imaging and multi-optical cameras to ensure IPC-compliant process monitoring and defect detection.
“Our investment in these advanced systems reflects Libra’s commitment to staying ahead of industry standards and delivering unparalleled value to our customers,” said Cory McMaster, GM of Libra Industries Dallas facility. “With enhanced capabilities, the Dallas facility is better equipped to meet growing demand for high-mix, low- and high-volume projects, all while maintaining precision and quality.”
The Dallas facility is a hub for electronics manufacturing, offering conformal coating, cable assembly, and final box build assembly alongside advanced testing capabilities. Its comprehensive trace, track, and control systems ensure complete visibility and quality assurance throughout production.

Industry veteran Gary Tanel, SMTA Director of Membership and Dallas’ event manager, has a lot to be proud of.
