Saki Corporation, an innovator in the field of automated optical and X-ray inspection equipment, has commenced operations at its relocated and expanded Nara Factory to strengthen production capacity and advance future technology development.
As part of its corporate growth strategy, Saki has relocated its Nara Factory in Yamato Koriyama City (Nara Prefecture) to a larger site that is adjacent to the Nara Campus of its parent company DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “DMG MORI”). Operations at the new facility officially began on 17 February, 2025. Following the completion of renovations across the Nara Campus, the opening ceremony hosted by DMG MORI took place today, April 14.
The factory’s manufacturing floor area has been expanded to 3,800 square meters, approximately doubling the production capacity of the previous site. The expansion responds to the growing global demand for X-ray inspection systems and enhances overall production efficiency.
The new facility includes integrated office space, bringing design, development, and production engineering teams closer together. This promotes cross-functional collaboration and strengthens the company’s ability to respond quickly and effectively to customer requirements. Saki also plans to continue building its technical capabilities by recruiting more hardware and software engineers from across Japan.
In alignment with its commitment to environmental responsibility, Saki has installed energy-efficient equipment at the new factory and is continuing to pursue its goals of carbon neutrality throughout its operations.
By fully leveraging the capabilities of the new facility, Saki contributes to solving the challenges faced by its customers through innovative automated inspection solutions that promote labor-saving and skill-less operation, and improved manufacturing quality. Saki remains committed to sustainable growth and contributing to the advancement of society.
