NCAB scored overall 73 out of 100 which places us amongst the top 4 percent in the Manufacture of electronic components and boards industry and top 7 percent of all companies globally that have been rated by EcoVadis over the previous 12 months.
EcoVadis is an independent sustainability rating service, that assesses a company’s sustainability management through its policies, actions and results. It focuses on 21 sustainability criteria across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
“The EcoVadis scorecard provides a detailed view on our strengths and improvement areas, including guidance on how to further develop our business,” said Anna Lothsson, Group Sustainability Director, NCAB Group.
“We are proud of the award. I am pleased to see our improvement within Environment, which together with Sustainable Procurement are our highest scored themes. Our focus is on creating value for our stakeholders and contributing to a more sustainable electronics industry. The EcoVadis scorecard provides a detailed view on our strengths and improvement areas, including guidance on how to further develop our business. In 2024, EcoVadis set a new benchmark with the adjustment of the criteria for awarding medals and scoring. The new scoring model could have an impact on scores and overall rating compared to previous model, but aiming to provide a more precise evaluation of a company’s sustainability performance. The goal is to provide a clearer insight into performance across specific themes, making it easier to track improvements and identify improvement areas.” says Anna Lothsson, Group Sustainability Director at NCAB Group.
The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards (Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000), and supervised by a scientific committee of sustainability and supply chain experts, to ensure reliable third-party sustainability assessments. A new benchmark was set in 2024 with the adjustment of the criteria for awarding medals and scoring. As of 1 January 2025, the score values per area will no longer be displayed as rounded figures but as unrounded figures in the scorecard and can therefore influence the company’s overall score.
