Bridging the Pacific: Why Global Manufacturing Is No Longer Optional
StaticStop, a division of SelecTech, Inc. and a leader in the manufacture of innovative flooring products with long-term value and immediate benefits, will exhibit at the upcoming SMTA International, October 27-29, at Booth 2730. There, StaticStop will showcase its ESD flooring tiles designed to protect sensitive electronics and equipment from electrostatic discharge in manufacturing, aerospace, defense and other demanding environments.
SMTA International is the premier technical conference and exhibition for the electronics manufacturing industry, designed to advance surface mount technology and advanced manufacturing practices. Held annually at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, the event serves as a hub for engineers, researchers, and industry leaders to share insights, innovations, and the latest technologies. This year's exhibition runs Oct. 27-29.
"SMTA International is where the electronics manufacturing industry comes together to push surface mount technology and manufacturing practices forward, and the floor underneath that manufacturing process is a bigger part of that conversation than people realize," said Thomas Ricciardelli, president of SelecTech, Inc. "ESD flooring is critical to protecting the electronics being manufactured, which makes this exactly the right place for us to be."
For facilities that cannot afford lengthy downtime, StaticStop division offers adhesive-free, interlocking ESD flooring options such as SelecTile ESD and FreeStyle ESD. The tiles can be installed over many existing hard flooring surfaces and put down in phases, which can mean less demolition, less subfloor preparation and less disruption to production.
Installing the floor is only part of the job. SelecTech also conducts testing before and after installation to help confirm that the flooring performs as intended. StaticStop products are designed for electronics manufacturing, aerospace, defense and other environments where one unexpected static discharge can create a very expensive problem.
SMTA International attendees are invited to visit the SelecTech booth to talk with the StaticStop team about ESD flooring selection, installation planning, maintenance and testing — or simply bring along their toughest flooring question.
