Wistron Corp. held a meeting of its Board of Directors. Following the meeting, the Company announced its financial results for the first half of 2026.
For the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue totaled NT$1,742 billion, operating income was NT$62,585 million, profit before tax (PBT) was NT$54,592 million, and profit after tax (PAT) was NT$24,458 million, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$7.78.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, consolidated revenue was NT$895,443 million, operating income was NT$33,447 million, profit before tax (PBT) was NT$31,084 million, and profit after tax (PAT) was NT$14,827 million, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.72.
In addition to approving the financial results, the Board made the following major announcements:
1. Capital expenditures in Taiwan
Approved additional capital expenditures of NT$2 billion and NT$8.5 billion for the Company's Hsinchu and Kaohsiung facilities, respectively, primarily for the procurement of machinery and equipment to support future capacity expansion.
2. U.S. AI capacity expansion
Approved additional capital expenditures of US$23 million and US$30 million for Wistron InfoComm (USA) Corporation and SMS Infocomm Corporation, respectively, both wholly owned U.S. subsidiaries, to support future AI business expansion.
3. Capital injection in Vietnam
Approved an additional capital injection of US$40 million into its wholly owned subsidiary, Wistron Property (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.
4. AI Computing Center
In response to the growing demand for AI development, approved a capital expenditure of approximately NT$4.0 billion to establish the AI Computing Center within the Wistron Building (緯創樓) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University's Tainan Campus. The facility will support the Group's internal AI computing requirements and provide computing resources for AI research and education initiatives through computing power donations.
5. Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs)
Pursuant to the authorization granted by shareholders at this year's Annual General Meeting, the Board approved filing the necessary applications with the relevant regulatory authorities for the issuance of up to 250 million new common shares in the form of Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs).
