As the industry prepares to explore the critical role of cleaning in today’s increasingly complex PCB manufacturing processes, Technica is gearing up for its upcoming Lunch & Learn event, taking place August 12–13 at the company’s Demo & Applications Center in San Jose, California. Featuring DCT and Rehm Thermal Systems, the event will offer attendees valuable insights into the latest cleaning while demonstrating how advanced solutions can help manufacturers improve process performance, reliability, and overall production efficiency.
Further highlighting the event, Technica is pleased to introduce a new addition to DCT’s innovative cleaning solutions portfolio, further expanding the technologies available to address the evolving challenges of modern electronics manufacturing.
As electronic assemblies continue to become more miniaturized and connectors increasingly complex, aqueous cleaning chemistry continues to improve. As a result, the cleaning process itself is often no longer the bottleneck, drying is.
To address this challenge, DCT has developed Focused Drying®, an innovative technology designed to reduce drying times by up to 40–60% compared with conventional drying solutions on the market, including DCT systems without Focused Drying®.
The technology is particularly beneficial for PCBAs featuring small cavities, openings, and complex connector geometries, where tiny pools of water can remain trapped and represent some of the most difficult areas to dry completely.
How does it work?
- Interchangeable air nozzles are available in various diameters and shapes to target specific applications.
- Linear motion speed is fully adjustable, allowing the system to slow down or stop at critical connectors and other challenging areas when needed.
- The result is more focused airflow exactly where it is needed most—helping improve drying performance while reducing overall process time.
Currently, Focused Drying® is available exclusively on our DOUBLE TRIPLE cleaning system. We are also working to bring this technology to the TRIPLE platform, with plans to expand it to additional washer models in the future.
Faster drying. Better results. Greater process efficiency.
