The Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) has launched the "PCB GPT Industry Knowledge Platform," which uses generative AI to connect PCB professional knowledge services and help the industry improve the efficiency of cross-border and professional talent training.
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and the global PCB industry's continued move towards smart manufacturing and internationalization, the challenges faced by enterprises are no longer limited to process upgrades, but extend to talent training efficiency, knowledge standardization, and cross-border team collaboration management. Especially in the global manufacturing system, how to help personnel of different nationalities and language backgrounds quickly understand professional knowledge and communicate effectively has become a crucial key for enterprises to improve operational efficiency and strengthen competitiveness.
In view of this, with the support of the Industrial AI Promotion Policy of the Industrial Development Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, TPCA collaborated with the Institute for Information Industry (III) to promote the construction of the PCB GPT platform. The association provides common industry professional data, hoping to use generative AI technology to help PCB companies establish a more efficient and consistent knowledge management and talent training model, accelerating the practical application of AI technology in the industry.
PCB GPT is a smart knowledge platform specifically designed for the PCB industry. It currently incorporates professional knowledge books and training content related to PCB fundamentals engineers, covering core knowledge such as engineering fundamentals, process principles, production line practices, professional terminology, and technical applications. Through a natural language interactive mode, new employees, engineers, and cross-departmental colleagues can quickly obtain the information they need, effectively shortening the learning curve and improving the efficiency of corporate education and training and the quality of knowledge transfer. Furthermore, to meet the needs of the PCB industry's global layout and cross-border collaboration, PCB GPT currently supports Chinese, English, and Thai, assisting companies in transferring technical knowledge and conducting daily work communication between their production bases in Taiwan and overseas.
