KYZEN, the global leader in innovative, environmentally friendly cleaning chemistries, is proud to announce that it is sponsoring the Women’s Leadership Program Connection Reception held at SMTA International on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, beginning at 5 p.m. in the DES Convention Center, room 45.
The 2025 SMTA Women’s Leadership Program invites participants to join us as we dive into the opportunities raining down on our industry and shine light on how we can shape a brighter future, together. This program offers valuable tools and engaging discussions in the ever-evolving world of electronics manufacturing.
The program is a fantastic way to learn from successful women in the electronics manufacturing industry through technical presentations and round-table discussions. This year, the theme is Designing for Excellence. "It's Pouring Possibilities."
The program kicks off with engaging presentations by three accomplished women from the electronics industry, who will share their insights on design for excellence, photonic interconnects, and kitting. Following this, attendees will engage in collaborative round table discussions with industry peers, delving into topics including cleaning, harsh environments and reliability, PCB fabrication and analysis, quantum computing, repairability, sustainability, and test and failure analysis. During the round table, you will have the opportunity to connect with KYZEN’s own Debbie Carboni and Chelsea Jewell.
The program concludes on a high note with the Connection Reception, hosted by KYZEN in support of women in all roles within the Electronics Assembly Industry. The reception provides attendees the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, continuing conversations, and fostering both new and old connections.

Nolan’s Notes: Is Mexico the Pulse of Electronics in the Americas?
11/04/2025 | Nolan Johnson -- Column: Nolan's NotesLast year, I attended SMTA Guadalajara, where I saw the results of the Mexican investment in electronics manufacturing. The U.S. was still operating under the Biden administration, and while Mexican EMS companies had expanded capacity to support EV manufacturing, the demand dropped significantly. In my conversations at the show, the sentiment was one of patience. They knew the EV business would likely come back. However, they didn’t expect an overhaul of U.S. trade agreements and tariffs that would shift a more diversified portfolio in Mexico’s direction.
