Hon Hai Education Foundation Holds a Summer High School Quantum Camp

As quantum technology becomes the new focus of global technology competition, the Hon Hai Education Foundation, which is committed to cultivating scientific and technological talents, once again joined hands with the National Taiwan University IBM Quantum Computer Center, the Taiwan Quantum Computer and Information Technology Association, the Chung Yuan Quantum Information Center and other organizations this summer to hold a five -day " 2025 Summer High School Quantum Computing Learning Camp" starting from July 14. The registration enthusiasm for this session was unprecedented, with nearly 500 high school students applying enthusiastically to compete for the limited 100 places of 40 people in person and 60 people online, showing the young generation's high attention to future technology.
In addition to introducing the differences between quantum computers and traditional computers, the latest developments in quantum computers in various countries, what are quantum superposition and quantum entanglement, and the importance of quantum communication and quantum measurement, the camp also leads students to try to actually write quantum circuits and test algorithms, allowing students to transform abstract concepts into real experiences from theory to practice.
According to feedback from past students, all participating students felt that they benefited greatly from the course, and some even wrote: "This camp made me start to seriously consider whether I can go in this direction in college." Foxconn Education Foundation CEO Wang Yonghe also said that just as AI technology and applications are becoming more and more mature, human life is becoming more and more intelligent and convenient. Once quantum computers and quantum technology make great progress one day, people will surely be amazed that quantum is an emerging technology that can have such a significant impact on human life. Therefore, he hopes that high school students will start to get in touch with and explore quantum technology now, so that in the future they may be able to truly embark on the path of research, make contributions to mankind, and increase Taiwan's technological strength.
The five-day summer quantum computing camp for high school students allows quantum education to take root and guides high school students to take the first step and bravely enter the world of quantum technology. The Hon Hai Education Foundation hopes that one day, these high school students will not only be learners, but also participants and promoters of future technology.
