Electra's ElectraJet EMJ110G Powers Seamless Transition at Sunrise Electronics
April 11, 2025 | Electra Polymers LtdEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Electra, in partnership with Allen Woods Associates, is proud to announce the successful deployment of its ElectraJet® EMJ110G Soldermask on KLA’s Orbotech Neos™ platform, now running production at Sunrise Electronics in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
This installation marks a significant milestone in the ongoing industry transition from traditional soldermask application methods to cutting-edge digital solutions. The move to the ElectraJet® EMJ110G was executed seamlessly, with minimal disruption and fast integration into Sunrise's production environment.
“The shift to digital was something we had been considering for a while,” said Jiger Patel from Sunrise Electronics. “The Electra EMJ110G delivered exactly what we needed — precision, reliability, and compatibility with our Orbotech Neos™ platform. We were particularly impressed with how smooth the process was.”
The ElectraJet EMJ110G has proven to be an ideal match for Sunrise’s fast-paced and quality-driven production, delivering consistent layer uniformity, high-resolution deposition, and notable time savings compared to traditional screen printing techniques.
Sunrise is already looking ahead, exploring further capabilities including the use of additional soldermask colours from the ElectraJet® range to enhance product flexibility and design options.
“We’re proud to support Electra and Sunrise Electronics in this forward-thinking deployment,” said Dave Daul Jr. of Allen Woods Associates. “This project demonstrates what’s possible when innovative partners come together with a shared vision.”
“This partnership exemplifies our mission — to empower forward-thinking manufacturers with advanced, sustainable solutions,” added Don Monn from Electra. “We’re thrilled to see Sunrise pushing the boundaries and making the most of what our technology has to offer.”
With performance, precision, and production already aligned, this installation sets a benchmark for other PCB fabricators considering the move to digital inkjet soldermask solutions.
