Vuzix Ships Customized Waveguides to a Major US-based Defense Customer

Vuzix Corporation, a leading supplier of smart glasses, waveguides and augmented reality (AR) technology, announced that it has fulfilled a six-figure follow-on production order for customized waveguides. These waveguides will be used to enable a lightweight heads-up display (HUD) for a key defense program.
The order was placed by a major U.S.-based defense contractor known for its advanced aerospace and defense solutions. As the incumbent supplier for several existing military programs, this customer has selected Vuzix as a trusted U.S.-based manufacturer of waveguide and display technologies.
"We continue to work closely with this defense contractor as they move toward volume production of their HUD solution," said Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vuzix. "With our advanced see-through display technologies and U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities, Vuzix is uniquely positioned to support the evolving needs of the defense industry as it adopts next-generation wearable display solutions."
