Indium Commemorates 30th Anniversary of Asia-Pacific Hub in Singapore
September 30, 2025 | Indium CorporationEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Indium Corporation, a leading materials manufacturer and supplier for global electronics markets, celebrates 30 years of service at its Asia-Pacific Operations (APO) facility. Located in Singapore, the facility serves customers worldwide, particularly throughout Southeast Asia.
On July 12, 1995, Indium Corporation commissioned its Singapore facility, marking the company’s first global expansion and entry into the semiconductor market, establishing a hub for growth and innovation across the Asia-Pacific region. Company executives recently joined employees and members of the community for a variety of celebratory events, including a tree planting, to commemorate the milestone. Two of the facility’s original employees, Lim Hoch Yong and Sum Sui, were also recognized for their contributions in building a culture of excellence over the past three decades.
The APO facility, which has significantly expanded over time, is now one of the largest flux manufacturers in the region and produces innovative, high-quality, and high-reliability materials that are used in the world’s most advanced electronics, including semiconductors, integrated circuits, high-performance radar, smartphones, electric vehicles, and laptops. It also allows Indium Corporation to optimize processes, provide rapid customer support, and collaborate more closely with partners throughout the region.
“Our employees, customers, and partners in the region will continue to build on our success in the Asia-Pacific region by collaboratively developing world-changing materials science,” said Indium Corporation President and CEO Ross Berntson. “We have immense pride in our ultra-low residue fluxes and die-attach materials that were pioneered and launched at the APO facility and are used in cutting-edge electronics around the world.”
Indium Corporation intends to continue to grow and expand the APO facility to meet emerging and future materials science technology needs, including in AI and high-power computing. The company’s overall operations in the Asia-Pacific region have also continued to expand over the past three decades to accommodate the company’s growth, including additional facilities in India, Malaysia, and South Korea.
The APO facility is IATF 16949, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015 certified.
